Grammy winning singer/songwriter Solange Knowles has been announced as The Harvard Foundation's artist of year, and will accept the award at a ceremony on March 3 during Harvard's annual Cultural Rhythms festival.
Past honourees include Queen Latifah, Shakira, Viola Davis, Salma Hayek, John Legend and Jackie Chan.
